How to review CCIE training institutions?
As the CISCO training with the highest gold content in the industry, it has been known as “Network Engineer Gold Collar”. Why do you say that? In 1998, a CISCO CCIE engineer could have a salary of up to one million, but until now, the Internet has been popular with the "CCIE devaluation theory". The theory is based on how the previous salary is, now CCIE How is the salary, then I have a response to it here.
First, as CCIE, the original salary is too high, the reason is that the number of CCIE is too small. In 1998, there were only a few hundred CCIEs in China, which of course caused CCIE salary to be high. This is true for any industry. For example, if you are the first Java player in China, these will cause high salaries, and with the increase of talents, the salary reduction is inevitable.
Second, the "paper CCIE" of the training institution. Many people don't like the training institutions, and I personally maintain a neutral attitude. If you say that you are a mistaken person, then I think that we have been a mistaken student until now, and a college student who has not even heard of CISCO is the key to our students' inability to work. At least the training organization also allows students to learn some useful knowledge. For example, a graduate with a little understanding of CCNA is definitely more likely to be employed than a graduate of a web application who does not understand it at all. From this point of view, the training institution has played a partial positive role. Regarding paper, the current employment situation is so difficult. There is a paper in hand. At least, it is possible for college students to find the most basic work and then start learning. This is already very good. I have known a lot of CCIEs. After I passed the exam, I still have the spirit of learning. After a few years, I became a real CCIE. The salary naturally rose to 5k-10k. So from this point of view, I think CCIE has no depreciation. It’s just a matter of practice.
Third, CCIE certifications should not test? SPOTO CCIE CULB did a questionnaire on whether CCIE should be tested. I said my statement, if I knew CCIE early, then I will definitely take it during my college years. Although the cost of the nearly 15,000 exam is a bit high, at least I learned a favorite technology, and I can rely on it to support my family. For most college students, they don’t learn the knowledge of future employment. Even if it's just a paper IE, then I believe that it will give you a salary of 3k when you graduate. After two years of work, the IE I know is basically between 6k-1.2k, which depends on personal efforts. Therefore, from the perspective of long-term investment, I personally agree to test CCIE.
