My CCIE story

I decided to enter for CCIE in late March when I was just in the second semester of my junior year. After much deliberation, I chose to SPOTO on account of its good reputation and recognition from the previous SPOTOers. After the entire tuition fee is inexpensive, the prudence is required. The SPOTO online course is good. As I studied in Guangdong, I adopted the distant teaching. The study environment in my dormitory was not satisfying so I went to study room alone for watching screen recording of all the courses.

I made the appropriate timetable according to my specific situation, combined the experiments with the teaching videos and relearned what I failed to understand the CCNP theories. The solid foundation is essential to smooth access into the LAB. I dared not to perfect myself in the whole knowledge of CCIE, yet at least I lived up to my expectation. There is old saying that skills are no burden, so I had to spare no efforts to become real CCIE, not merely certificate owner. I spent two months or so to learn the special videos concerning CCNP and CCIE. In addition, after consulting to Huige, I was scheduled for LAB offline learning. I squeezed out the extra time and sought to pass all the tests by the end of junior year. There followed the LAB preparation in a last-minute effort.  

The time used in the exam preparation appeared to be more precious as I had to set aside some time to get involved in the various academic tests and other extracurricular activities. The whole day was occupied to type the versions in the study room. Typing the version can easily test how solid your foundation was, which constantly boosted my capability during its process. I remembered, my first typing the version was not even finished within one week, however, it was actually done in 2 hours or so, the slowest speed of typing is not exceeded 2.5 hours after a dozen of relentless typing. When realized no worries in version typing, I shifted to learn TS with TCP/IP as a highlight. I analyzed through the route and data transmission, in particular in MPLS VPN which was needed more time to research. Each set of TS was required us to study carefully so as to master comprehensively.I bought many ccna security dumps to practice.

I was too excited to sleep well at night before the exam. I went to the exam location by walk. I simply ate the milk and chocolate for my breakfast to avoid diarrhea. I was ushered into the exam room by a girl and started to take the LAB exam. The detail exam process was not otherwise mentioned. I was absorbed into every test question, and remained the composure to deal with the difficult questions. Take it easy and keep calm, from my point of view.

After the version typing was finished, I looked it over again. I didn’t terminate the exam until I was sure that no mistake was checking out. Then I communicated with Huige about the test, the followed is to wait for the result. At 2:00am, the result was made public, I gained the CCIE certificate No.4933X which seemed to be somewhat alike to my unexpected success to be accepted by the second batch of undergraduate school based on my poor academic performance. I was certainly excited but shortly calmed down. 

I thank the support from my parents, the instruction from huige, and assistant teacher Chen, all who helped me along the way. My suggestions are to lay the foundation, seek advice from others or look for a solution if you have problems. It is essential to develop the self-learn habit and ability, as well as to schedule for your goal.
